When the entire world is locked down....locked in the shackles of a deadly pandemic, a new chapter has just begun in my life. And this chapter is all about 'Self-love'......
Certain set of incidents happened in the last few days have taught me a lesson I would cherish my entire life time and would love to pass on this legacy to my boy. It is never worth taking loads of pleasing everyone, taking the pressure of being that perfect mom, that perfect wife, that perfect daughter, that perfect daughter-in-law and the list is endless. There exists "Nothing", I literally mean "Nothing", which is "Perfect" in all the true senses. So ladies shed off that burden, instead crave for respect in any relation, appreciate people who have a non-judgmental approach towards you, appreciate the ones who appreciate what you do instead of nagging about the things or tasks that you somehow fail to do. Appreciate them!!! Whole-heartedly!!
Me being a mommy, a wife and moreover a homemaker can very well understand that most of us don't even realize that theirs already a whole lot on our plate, may be more than our capacity but we are so used to it that we actually fail to realize that we do a lot!!! Even if we fail in meeting few chores, completing tasks of laundry, dishes, buying groceries, home-works, projects or so, stop being guilty!!! Stop being harsh on you!! Look at the brighter side of the picture, look at the favorite meal you prepared for the family. The amount of unconditional and selfless love that you pour on each one of them that you have stopped pouring some on you. Ultimately a happy mom is what kids want than an agitated and annoyed mom, that you might become when you enter that race of being perfect!!
So.......take a deep breathe, pick up the book that you always wanted to read, or listen to that soft music that you really enjoy, get a cup of coffee to calm your senses and settle down at that favorite spot of your home where you had always wanted to spend your ME-time!!
ME-time is very important. Never ever take it for granted!!
Love and peace from a "Not-so-perfect" Mommy to all the lovely mommies ❤️❤️❤️
